One-on-One Playtime: A team member will spend individual time doing whatever your dog enjoys, whether that’s fetch, tug-of-war, or cuddling. Owners can opt for up to five 15-minute one-on-one playtime sessions each day.
Potty Breaks: Each pet receives a minimum of three daily relief walks, in addition to their playtime sessions.
Doggie Daycare and Group Play: Guests who have passed a social evaluation can play with other approved canine friends under our staff’s supervision in our award-winning daycare program.
Story Times: Private time with one of our staff for a cuddle, bedtime story, and calm preparation for a night of rest.
Yappy Hour Treats: Wholesome treats like peanut butter gooey-o’s or stuffed Kongs made in our very own kitchen.
Grooming & Salon: From show-quality haircuts and de-shedding treatments to refreshing baths and nail trims, treat your pup to a day of pampering in the Doggie Spa.
Lodge & Train: A great option if you would like your pet to learn good manners, basic obedience or work on problem behaviors while they're boarding with us.
Special Requests: Does your pet prefer belly-rubs to back-scratches and tug-toys to tennis balls? We keep detailed notes on every pet staying with us and encourage you to share anything extra we can do to help make your pet feel at home.
At Rover Oaks your pet's health and safety is our #1 concern. Prior to a pet's arrival, Rover Oaks Pet Resort must have a formal vaccination record from a licensed veterinarian indicating that your pet is up-to-date on the following vaccinations:

Flea and Tick Prevention: All pets will be checked thoroughly for fleas and ticks. If any are found, that pet will be treated immediately, at the owner’s expense, before being allowed to enter the lodging area. Rover Oaks requires owners to treat their pets regularly - according to manufacturer instructions - with a veterinarian-approved flea and tick preventative.
Food: While Rover Oaks can provide in-house food as needed, we encourage you to bring the food your pet eats at home to enjoy while they stay with us (and, unlike other facilities, we won't charge you an extra fee for custom meal preparation!). Changing a pet’s food can cause stomach irritation and digestive issues, so we prefer to feed them the food they regularly eat.
Please only bring us the amount that your pet will need for the stay in a disposable zip-lock bag.
Treats: We do not accept any rawhide products or items that may present a risk to your pet while lodging. Such items will be stored by the supervisors until you pick up your pet. We also offer a selection of delicious Pet Deli treats in our retail area which we welcome you to purchase for your pet during their stay!
Medications: We can administer oral or topical medications for your pet, but not injections. Prescription medications should be provided in their respective prescription containers, along with clear written directions. Medications must be kept separate from foods.
Please call or email with medication instructions prior to your arrival.
Bedding: We do provide Kuranda Beds in our Standard Bunkhouses and plush bedding in our Luxury Suites. If you desire, we do offer pet mats and orthopedic beds. We do suggest sending blankets or similar machine washable bedding for your pet to give them something from home. If providing a stuffed or large style bed, size limitations may apply, and they may not be launderable based on their size.
Toys: We welcome you to bring up to three toys from home! Rover Oaks keeps a large stock of balls, tug toys, squeak toys and kongs of various sizes for pets to enjoy during playtimes, so we recommend you bring the toys that your pet would want to have to cuddle with or chew on while they are in their accommodation.
Bowls: No need to bring food or water bowls! We provide freshly cleaned stainless steel dishes to your pet daily. If your pet requires a slow feeder or elevated bowls, you are welcome to bring those as well.

Rover Oaks has a long-standing reputation for providing exceptional care to our clients’ pet companions. Based on this reputation and our clients’ trust in Rover Oaks, we provide an additional service that underscores our commitment to providing high quality pet care. Our Gold Star Pet Care Warranty reimburses for veterinary expenses for illnesses or injuries that occur to their pets due to their visit at Rover Oaks. All pets receiving services at Rover Oaks are covered by the Gold Star Pet Care Warranty. The maximum reimbursement is $500 per visit, not to exceed $1,000 per year. The Gold Star Pet Warranty is provided for a nominal charge of only $1 per pet per day, which will be included automatically on the owner’s invoice when payment is made.

We have been bringing our 5-year-old lab to Rover Oaks since she was a puppy. She has loved every minute of being there. We have boarded, groomed, and attended daycare continually. She loves going there so much and all of the staff recognize and greet her.
