Pet Care Technician

Exemplary pet care is a vital part of Rover Oaks Pet Resort and every Pet Care Technician plays a key role in achieving our high pet care standards. As a Pet Care Technician, you will be trained to walk pets to outside exercise areas, engage pets in play activities, clean and sanitize pet accommodations and exercise yards, and record accurate information on the activities and behavior of each pet. We are currently interviewing for both the AM and PM shifts. Shifts run from 6:00am to 2:00pm and from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This position requires work on weekends and holidays. All Pet Care Technician applicants must be physically able to secure and handle all types of dogs. Pet Care Supervisor

Pet Care Supervisors are responsible for the daily operations of our lodging facility.  They supervise the activities of the Pet Care Technicians, prepare meals for the pets, administer medications, inspect arriving and departing pets, communicate with clients, and ensure the health and safety of the dogs and cats who stay with us each day.  Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a veterinary technician and experience supervising the work of other employees.  In addition, qualified candidates must be physically able to secure and handle large dogs. They should have experience assessing pet health issues and behavioral issues. Dog Daycare Counselor

A fun, safe, and stimulating environment is essential to our large group of dogs who participate in off-leash social play at Rover Oaks Doggie Daycare! Doggie Daycare Counselors engage dogs in play activities, monitor dog behavior to ensure safety, provide outstanding customer service at all times, and maintain a clean environment for the dogs to play in, including waste removal. All Doggie Daycare Counselor candidates must have excellent customer service skills, be physically able to secure and handle all types of dogs, and have a positive, outgoing personality. Pet Groomer & Stylist

Each Pet Groomer & Stylist at Rover Oaks is responsible for providing pet quality and breed standard cuts; providing professional bathing and spa services; discussing and documenting clients' grooming requests and preferences; and promoting grooming services to current and potential clients.  Candidates for the position should have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a professional groomer and pet stylist, excellent knowledge of individual breed standards, excellent scissoring techniques, and physically able to handle and secure large and small dogs. In addition, successful candidates should have strong customer service and communication skills. Grooming Assistant / Bather

All dogs deserve to be pampered by our fabulous Rover Oaks Grooming team! Our Grooming Assistants/Bathers pride themselves on putting pet safety and comfort first, and adhering to the Rover Oaks method of bathing and drying dogs to ensure a gorgeous pup every time. Our Grooming Assistants/Bathers are responsible for providing professional quality bathing and drying; roughing-in groom dogs; maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary environment for the pets and staff; maintaining the grooming equipment; and providing assistance to the Professional Groomers as needed. Hours will vary, but will require weekends and holidays. We would love to hear from you if you have at least one year of experience with pet bathing and grooming services. You should be able to recognize and understand specific dog breeds and be physically able to handle and secure large dogs. Customer Service Representative

Rover Oaks Pet Resort is consistently recognized for providing outstanding customer service, and each Customer Service Representative plays a key role in achieving our high standards. Customer Service Representatives are responsible for enthusiastically greeting clients as they enter Rover Oaks, answering incoming phone calls, assisting clients with their reservations, filing client paperwork, and providing excellent client care at all times. Candidates for this position should have previous experience interacting with clients, sales experience, excellent communication skills, experience with multi-line phone systems, high attention to detail, and strong computer/data entry skills. Dog Trainer

Our Professional Dog Trainers are responsible for evaluating the training needs and goals of our clients' dogs, recommending the appropriate programs, and implementing the techniques necessary to achieve those desired goals. They provide a variety of training methods including group classes, private lessons and custom designed programs. Our trainers communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on their pet's progress and offer post-training support to help the client reinforce those skills so the learning continues with their pet. Rover Oaks utilizes only rewards-based, dog-friendly methods. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of six months to one year of experience as a Dog Trainer and thorough knowledge of dog behavior, pack dynamics, breed characteristics and understanding of obedience training principles and training methods. In addition, candidates should be physically able to handle and manage large dogs and difficult dogs, possess excellent communication skills and customer service skills and have good working knowledge with programs such as Word and Excel. Candidates must be a high school graduate, but college education is preferred. Formal training and APDT certification is a plus. Reservation Specialist

Playtime Technician

Fun, active playtimes are an essential part of every pet’s stay at Rover Oaks, and our Playtime Technicians make sure that each playtime is customized to meet each pet’s needs. Playtime Technicians are trained to walk pets to outside exercise areas, engage pets in active play activities, provide pets with a continuous supply of fresh water, and record accurate information on the activities and behavior of each pet.
